A few weeks before we were scheduled to fly out to Cincinnati for Homecoming, The National announced another festival to be held in Forest Hills, NY. After such an amazing experience at the stadium in October 2017, there was no way we could miss this two day fest. Tickets were purchased through Cherry Tree and it seemed like these shows would never get here.
It’s about a 2 hour drive for us, so we left at 11:00 am to head out to Queens. We gathered our VIP credentials and settled in with the handful of other hard core fans to wait for doors to open. It was a great experience – I knew a few people there from online groups, and we ended up spending much of the next 48 hours together.
